Founded in 2015, VHMC began as a small group of friends who shared a passion for unconventional books and film. Over the years, we have grown into a vibrant community celebrating books, film, and even cooking. 

At VHMC, our mission is to find, savor, and curate artistry that is unconventional yet still fundamentally of high quality. We also isolate new concepts such as Umami, Awesome, and Girth to help give others a language to discuss unique aspects of creations. 

While none of us are vegan and we don't exclusively watch horror, the name was created when a member left behind a bottle of kombucha after a meeting. The host's daughter commented "is this from your weird vegan horror movie club thing?" VHMC was hence christened.
